The SSSA and the Publicity Department of the CPC Jiading District Committee will coordinate for intellectual concentration of the social sciences community making full use of the organizational power of the District, such as establishing a grassroots theoretical study platform to channel intellectual resources to the neighborhoods and villages.

The SSSA will organize events, including face-to-face talks, hand-in-hand research, and heart-to-heart discussions, where scholars and intellectuals can reach out to the broadest base providing theoretical and intellectual guidance, so that “the last kilometer,” even “the last meter,” would be “enlightened.” The SSSA is committed to contributing to the development of “a new modern Jiading District,” by providing scientific interpretations to diagnose complicated cases and offer strategies for grassroots development, while responding to public concerns. Effectively this will bring the innovative theories of the Party into the lives of ordinary families by means of innovative practices.

The thematic exhibition “Breaking Dawn in the East Sky — Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation of Shanghai” was unveiled: On the morning of May 27th, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Shanghai, the SSSA, jointly with the Party History Research Office of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Shanghai Shentong Metro Group Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Liberation Memorial Hall, staged the unveiling ceremony for the exhibition “Breaking Dawn in the East Sky — Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation of Shanghai” at the “cultural corridor” of the South Shaanxi Road Metro Station.

The spatial “corridor” consisting five segments recounts, respectively, the five phases of Shanghai’s liberation 75 years ago: “strategic planning,” “collaboration inside and out,” “meticulous deployment”, “fierce battles”, and “rebirth.” By employing all media, such as physical objects, pictures, texts, and videos, the exhibition reviews the glorious history of Shanghai’s liberation using landmark events and anecdotes such as “Military Training in Danyang” and “The Victorious Troops Sleeping on the Road”. It showcases the immense sacrifices and contributions made by revolutionary martyrs. The informative exhibition enables subway passengers, both citizens and tourists, to get to know the magnificent history, thereby stimulating their patriotic feelings.
