Shanghai Education Society
Founded in March 1957, Shanghai Education Society is an academic society for the study of educational theory and practice. Its first president was the famous educator Mr. Meng Xiancheng and its current president is Mr. Yin Houqing.
The society organizes and mobilizes Shanghai education scholars and professionals to actively carry out educational scientific research, promote national and international information and academic exchange in the education community, contributing to the reform and development of socialist education in China. Over the years, the Society has been devoted to research on Shanghai’s education development strategy, education system, education policy, curriculum and teaching materials reform, student moral education and teaching methods reform, etc., promoting research results and improving the theoretical and practical level of its members. The Society carries out its scientific activities in different ways such as organizing academic reports and lectures, publishing collections of papers and selecting outstanding papers, etc.
